Erica Johnston
Director of Development & Outreach
Erica spent over 18 years coordinating the marketing and community involvement efforts for the Chick-fil-A restaurant her husband and her own before joining the team at Inspire ND. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Radio/Television Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a graduate of several community leadership programs: Leadership Lake Houston, Leadership North Houston, Leadership Houston, and the Humble ISD Leadership Academy. Erica is also an active member of the Humble Noon Lions.
For several years she served as an Education Ambassador for Bright Pink, a non-profit organization focused on educating young women ages 18-45 about breast and ovarian health. Erica has served on several area boards including: Lake Houston Family YMCA, HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, Leadercast Lake Houston, Holy Trinity Episcopal School, National Charity League Lake Houston Chapter, and Partnership Lake Houston.
Erica has been the recipient of several community honors including the Young Entrepreneur and Professionals Heart Award, FamilyTime’s Women of Achievement Award (Community Activist, 2014), Partnership Lake Houston’s Top 4 Under 40, Partnership Lake Houston’s Chairman’s Award, and Humble Area Assistance Ministries’ Pillars of the Community Award which she shares with her husband, Duane.
Erica is a proud mom of two amazing kids, Emma and Mason, and proud wife to Duane, who is one of Inspire ND’s best volunteers! Erica enjoys volunteering with several local organizations including the local Boy Scouts program where both of her kids are active members. Erica enjoys spreading the mission of Inspire ND and educating the community about the important work that we do; but more importantly, how everyone can be involved and make a difference!
