The autism spectrum is just that; a spectrum of abilities and needs.
In recent years, heightened awareness to this spectrum has created good, much needed, discussion about labels, community supports, and self-disclosure.
Neurodiversity is a term developed in the 1990’s but is just now gaining traction. It represents the philosophy that people experience and interact with the world around them in different ways. Those differences should not be considered deficits. For this reason, the term neurodiversity includes, ADD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, tourette syndrome, and others. Recently there has been a larger emphasis on creating neurodiverse work cultures, community events, and education.
At Inspire ND, it is our goal to take this awareness and make it the norm not the exception. We will all be better off if there is a little bit more understanding and compassion in the world for everyone!
Your support helps us shine a light on neurodiversity and create inclusive opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Whether through a one-time gift, monthly donation, or community partnership — every contribution fuels our mission to educate, empower, and engage.
